No looking back for her

The dusky girl has been creating quite a stir in the reel industry with her recent performance in Sega , dubbed from the Tamil flick, Veppam . “All my friends have been saying that for the first time I look sensuous on screen rather than my usual tomboyish look,” says an oblivious Bindu Madhavi. She's beaming with joy at the success and response she has been getting.

“I have been getting so many calls. It feels good to be acknowledged. You know when your efforts are paying off. In fact, this success is overwhelming!” she says.

This Telugu ammayi says that Tamil was not an alien language, “I did my undergraduate studies in Vellore Institute of Technology, so I have been in Tamil Nadu for a good part of my life. I can find my way around Tamil!”

Right now she is working on two Tamil projects, one of which has been named, Kazhagu , meaning Eagle in Tamil. The other, untitled, project she is working on is being directed by Arivazhagan of Vaishali fame. The chirpy and bubbly Madhavi is enjoying her current status in the Tamil film industry, “So far, it has been a great journey for me, my work is getting noticed here and I have been getting good reviews.

“I have been really trying hard to make a mark in Telugu cinema, I hope something works out well there as well,” she hopes. How was it working with Karthik Kumar? “Being a theatre person, he really taught me how to act well. For me, acting meant only acting. But Karthik helped me with all the nuances and subtleties. He taught me various methods and this has only helped. He is very chilled out on-screen, and off screen we really had a ball!” she says.

Having worked in multi-starrer movies like Om Shanti and Sega, she says that she doesn't mind being cast along with other actors, “Right now, I need to really prove myself and get a foothold in the industry. While I don't mind doing multi-starrer movies, I am looking at lead roles right now. I want to walk straight on that path first,” says a determined Bindu Madhavi.

About her previous movies, Madhavi has no regrets, “Whatever movies I have done till date, have meant something to me. Some were hits and some misses but with each film I have only grown and learnt. When you see yourself on camera, you know what you should and what you shouldn't do! I never bothered about my looks or make-up earlier. But now I have really started taking care of myself.

Om Shanti Om (2007) - Review, Images, Videos, Plot, Comments ...

In the year 1977 the Indian film industry has many popular superstars which includes: Rajesh Kapoor, Shanti Priya, Rajesh Khanna just to name a few. Om Prakash is also a junior artist there and has dreams to become a hero overnight. Oms mother, Bela Makhija, inspires and encourages her son to become a success.

He gets to meet Shanti Priya one day and finds out that she is very popular, after a few misunderstandings, Om finally falls in love with Shanti, but is unable to express it to her. He gets to attend her first film Dreamy girl by masquerading as the actor Manoj Kumar. He also saves her in a filming episode from an uncontrollable fire and both became deep friends. Om asks her if she will meet him for one evening and she agrees.

Om is ecstatic and plans a wonderful evening for her - using props and a film set and several backgrounds in a studio to woo her. And she finally attends but under the pretext of a friend. The following day, Om tries to talk to Shanti on the sets of a film but she looks very preoccupied. He follows her into a make up room, is asked to alight form there but still proceed on, he wanted to talk to her but ends up overhearing an argument with top producer Mukesh Mehra and learns that she is marriage to him and is expecting his child, Om is shocked, and ends up leaving from there, heartbroken.

One night, Om notices Mukesh escorting Shanti to the set of Om Shanti Om. Suddenly Om witnessed the place caught afire with Shanti trapped inside. Om trys to save Shanti, but is trapped and severely beaten by Mukeshs guard. In that set Mukesh happens to corned Shanti and mysteriously killing her.

Om is suddenly rescued by Rajesh Kapoor, who is rushing his pregnant wife to a hospital. Rajesh takes Om to the hospital as well, but Om is pronounced dead. Moments later, Rajesh Kapoors son is born, and now in 2007 he is a popular star and is now known as Om Kapoor. It appears as if Om Prakash has reincarnated and is out now to look for his love and average her sufferings, taking revenge from Mukesh Mehra.
