Insights from the sidelines: Returning Back to my Field of Dreams

I'm finally taking some time to blog about my time back in Oklahoma City for the Women's College World Series! Being back in Hall of Fame Stadium was dream come true.Who am I kidding, if I could I would make the trip every summer. There's something special about this event for every softball fan, but for me, being in the ASA Complex is the closest thing I'll ever get to being out the field. Adding to the excitement, this year I was fortunate enough to meet a few of the athletes who were competing for a national title.  I'm a junior @ Grand Valley State University. Studying Sports Journalism & Management! I am wheelchair bound, living with Cerebral Palsy. I have tremendous passion for sports. I want to spend my life GIVING back to the sports & athletes who have given me so much. I've traveled the country watching friends and athletes compete, through them I've realized that "sometimes you learn more from the sidelines." While on the sidelines I've learned, the small things in life aren't so small anymore, the friendships made are priceless, and all the opportunities I STILL have in front of me keep me going.
