There are so many different flavors of cookies made to be eaten in large quantities. Some old favorites are peanut butter; chocolate chip; oatmeal raisin; no bake; sugar; and snickerdoodles.
Here is a snickerdoodle recipe… just like Grandma made.
Snickerdoodles – Recipe by Grandma
1 cup butter flavored shortening
1 ½ cups sugar
2 eggs
2 ¾ cups flour
2 tsp cream of tarter
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
2 Tbsp sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
Directions:
Mix together shortening, sugar, and eggs.
In separate bowl mix together flour, cream of tarter, baking soda, and salt.
Add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mix well. Chill for about 2 hours.
Grease baking sheet. In small bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon. Make walnut size balls with dough, roll one side of ball in cinnamon sugar mixture. Bake for 8-10 minutes, depending on oven.
